In addition, Sony announces that a few celebrated Steam indie titles will also be making their console debut.
Last night at a special indie game event in San Mateo, Sony confirmed a whole new batch of indie games that will be headed to PlayStation 4 in the near future. Chief among the new titles are old last-gen classics like Spelunkyand Skulls of the Shogun, while others are highly regarded Steam games that will now be making their console debut.
This news only reaffirms Sony’s proven support to the indie gaming world. The PS4 has already seen a number of key indie game releases over the several few months, such as Don’t Starve, TowerFall: Ascension, and SteamWorld Dig.

Here is the full list of indie games that were just announced for PS4:
- Apotheon
- Axiom Verge
- Chasm
- Don’t Starve: Reign of Giants
- Drifter
- Escape Goat 2
- Ironclad Tactics
- Jamestown+
- Nidhogg
- Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-a-Fide Edition
- Spelunky
- Starwhal: Just the Tip
Are there any games on the list that you absolutely cannot wait to play on PS4? I’m personally excited to finally have a go with the frantic sword fighting bouts of Nidhogg, and to have another excuse to get consumed by Spelunky all over again in 1080p.
