The newly retitled Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire versions will be getting a worldwide release this fall.
Following on the heels of some more troubling Wii U sales figures this morning, Nintendo has shown that they still know how to keep their handheld audience happy, with the exciting announcement that Game Boy Advance classic Pokémontitles Rubyand Sapphirewill be getting the 3DS remake treatment this fall.
The new games in question are being retitled Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, respectively. It’s an incredibly smart move, considering that Pokémon X& Y are currently some of the biggest selling games on the 3DS and 2DS to date. Alongside the announcement, Nintendo has also released a quick teaser video for the release and the following blurb about what we can expect:
“Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are a fresh take on Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire, which launched in 2003 and were fan-favorite hits on the Game Boy Advance System. The new titles promise to take players through a dramatic story within a spectacular new world.”
Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire will be released worldwide in November 2014, and available to play on both 3DS and 2DS systems.
