The Master Chief Collection will collect remastered versions of Halo 1, 2, 3, and 4!
Engadget has revealed that Halo: The Master Chief Collection is on its way. The collection would collect HD remastered versions of Halo1, 2, 3, and 4 for the Xbox One. What the specs are or if they're coming for PC is not yet clear.
This is news is based on Engadget's own sources within the gaming industry, and should be taken as fact just yet. Of course, it would make sense to release a remastered collection of the series before Halo 5 arrives in Fall 2015. It will be a nice refresher course into all things Halo. Since the collection will focus on Master Chief, ODST, Wars, Spartan Assault, and Reach will not be part of the bundle.
The developer is unknown at the moment, but evidence points to Saber Interactive, who worked on Halo: Anniversary, the HD remaster of Halo: Combat Evolved.
It looks like we might get some Halo this year after all...
Microsoft has not confirmed the existence of the collection as of right now. We will report if and when they do.
