The brief teaser from Sony reminds us that the unstoppable PlanetSide 2 is still on track to release sometime this year for PS4.
Sony has revealed a brief teaser trailer for the PlayStation 4 version of PlanetSide 2 today, and needless to say, it looks unbelievably awesome. The free-to-play online shooter was first released on PC in November 2012, with a PS4 version announced the following summer.
Clocking in at a quick 30 seconds, the PS4 teaser trailer focuses on the teamwork you’ll need in order to succeed in your fast-paced missions, with examples of different player voices planning and narrating an attack over an explosive burst of gameplay. Built on the foundations of strategy, teamwork, and skill, the combat in PlanetSide 2 is even further stylized through the use of unique player classes.
Despite the early (and now debunked) rumors that PlanetSide 2 would be released for PS4 on June 30, we can still expect to see the game at some point in 2014. So while we wait, be sure to hit the comments sections and share your favorite PlanetSide 2 war stories!
