sony press conference e3 2014

Sony's big title this year is Uncharted for PS4, but what other exclusives will they reveal this year?

Happy E3 2014, everyone! We're going to be live blogging ALL of the conferences and adding in our thoughts as they're announced. You can watch the press conferences via the Twitch stream below! We will be responding to Sony's announcements, and we'll also be providing analysis during/post show. We fully expect some Uncharted stuff, but what surprises does Sony have in store for us?

Watch live video from Twitch on www.twitch.tv

-Sony began the presser with an ethereal video of Destiny.  At first I was hyped it might be a new IP, but it turned out to be Destiny.  Some gameplay was shown, making it look more and more like Halo with cool pod-like racers from Star Wars. They further revealed that the Destiny beta will head to PS4 first on July 14. Starting this Thursday, PS4 games will be able to play the Destiny first experience alpha.

-Sony announced a glacier white PS4 Destiny bundle, coming in September.

-An Order: 1886 gameplay trailer was shown, and it looks absolutely incredible.  It appears to be taking a more horror-focused approach than it originally appeared to be.

-Sony then debuted the gameplay of Entwined, featuring two souls in love--one orange, one blue. Entwined is actually available right NOW for $9.99 on PSN. Very underwhelmed with the announcement, especially following the Order: 1886 part of the show.

-Infamous: Second Son DLC was announced titled Infamous: First Light.

-LittleBigPlanet 3 announced for the PS4, starring OddSock and Toggle in addition to Sackboy. Toggle and OddSock come with their own abilities.  Toggle can become super small, while Oddsock can become super fast used to power things in the world.  Swoop was announced as well--he can fly.

-Bloodborne announced, a new original IP from From Software. Looks like a horror RPG/dark fantasy game coming in 2015 exclusively for the PS4.

-Sony then showed Far Cry 4 gameplay, which is absolutely strange since Ubisoft's conference was such a dud; Ubi should have saved it for themselves. If you buy Far Cry 4 on PlayStation 3 or Playstation 4, you'll be able to invite your psn friends to play even if THEY don't own the game! The feature is exclusively on PS4.

-A next-gen zombie game was shown, apparently in the vein of Dead Rising 3. It's Dead Island 2. Meh. One of the characters sounded like it was voiced by Jack Black. Hmm...

-Battlefield: Hardline gameplay. Extra meh.

-Paradox Interactive has 4 games in development exclusively for the PS4.  The first one is Magicka 2.

-Let It Die announced as an exclusive PS4 title from Suda 51. Also looks to be gorey horror.

-No Man's Sky gameplay shown, described as an infinite universe. No two people will have the same experience since all players will start on a completely different planet.

-Sony took a small shot at Microsoft's Kinect by mentioning their PS Eye has always been optional.  A brief mention of Project Morpheus.

-YouTube is coming to PSN later this year, with players being able to upload directly to YouTube.

-Planetside 2, Guns Up, and over 23 more free to play games coming to PS4.

-Mortal Kombat X gameplay shown, and it looks absolutely brutal--in a good way.

-The Last of Us: Remastered (PS4 Version) was shown via a trailer, coming July 29, 2014.

-PlayStation Now release date set for July 31 in the U.S. and North America for PS4.

-Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain trailer that leaked last night was shown.

-Grand Theft Auto V coming to PS4 in Fall 2014, and will feature a host of enhancement. All players will be able to be transferred to PS4, including from Xbox 360!

-Batman: Arkham Knight gameplay is shown.
