The live-action Halo TV series from Ridley Scott is called Halo: Nightfall. Some other details have emerged, as well.
The live-action HaloTV series is almost here. The series, which will be called Halo: Nightfall, will be released as part of Halo: The Master ChiefCollection(which also includes the first four Halogames) this Fall. Halo: Nightfall comes from executive producer Ridley Scott, and will be directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan (who has episodes of Battlestar Galactica and Heroesto his credit) from a script by Paul Scheuring (Prison Break).
It's said that Halo: Nightfall will introduce a character who is "pivotal" to the events of Halo 5: Guardians. It's unclear if that refers to the role that Mike Colter will play, a "surgically enhanced super-soldier" named Marlowe who is “a rising star in a futuristic army who is troubled by aspects of the military industrial complex he inhabits. Approaching combat situations with caution and logic, he inspires loyalty in his fellow Spartans.”
This isn't to be confused with Steven Spielberg's separate Halolive-action project, which we won't see until 2015.
