Get to know the studio behind this beautiful first-person sci-fi adventure, and what it’s been like to create a journey to the stars.
There were very few indie games at this year’s E3 that completely stole the show as No Man’s Sky by Hello Games. Shown off during the Sony press conference, the atmospheric first-person space adventure had all of the mystery and awe you could ever want in an exploration sci-fi game. And don’t even get me started on those gorgeous graphics!
Well today Sony has released a new trailer that gives us a deeper look at the team behind No Man’s Sky. From their humble beginnings developing the Joe Danger series, to the devastating flood that wiped out their studio near the end of 2013, Hello Games has kept their passion for games alive through it all.
Every single element in No Man’s Sky is said to be procedurally generated, from the leaves to the giant and diverse planets themselves, but as you’ll see from the video, the main purpose of No Man’s Sky is so much more than a simple tech demo.
While there hasn’t been a release date given for the game just yet, No Man’s Sky will debut exclusively on PS4. This is one indie game that you’ll want to keep an eye on.
