The latest outing for Call of Duty has a new story trailer full of Spacey, and there's also an upcoming multiplayer reveal...
Sledgehammer Games' futuristic Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is due out towards the end of the year, and the game's story is set in a future policed by private military companies, with the biggest, Atlas, headed by Jonathan Irons, played by Kevin Spacey.
The trailer explains the background for the game's story. A global terrorist attack on various nuclear power plants around the world cripples governments, and the only option the US government has to restore order and rebuild is to employ Atlas to replace it's military. With so much power, it was only a matter of time before Atlas, and Irons, started to act up.
Of course, it's a typical Call of Duty trailer, laden with exploding and collapsing things, but Spacey's performance helps it along. Let's just hope the game itself delivers on its promise of a next generation of CoD. We'll find out on November 4 when the game arrives.
Before that, however, we'll also get chance to see the multiplayer in action when the global reveal of the online component happens. This will take place on August 11, and will be presented by Xbox.
News of the reveal was accompanied by information on the various game editions that'll be available, including the Digital Pro Edition (downloadable), Atlas Limited Edition, and Atlas Pro Edition. These will be priced at $99.99, $79.99, and $119.99 respectively.
