World of Warcraft subscriptions fall another 800,000...
The most popular MMORPG of all-time, World of Warcraft, lost another 800,000 subscribers during the 3 month span from April-June, according to publisher Activision Blizzard.
The company announced their latest earnings report, which showed a decrease in subscriptions from 7.8 million in February to 6.8 million, as of June 30.
Blizzard is claiming that the drop in WoW subcriptions is attributed to the "end of life" of the latest expansion, as the loss in subs is in line with the loss in subs that happened during the transition phase for the expansion before it.
According to Blizzard, World of Warcraft revenue is still up due to over 1.5 million pre-orders of Warlords of Draenor, the upcoming expansion that is yet to have a release date.
