The free games for October have been revealed for service subscribers, and here are the details...
Now we're in October, the next month of free content for Sony and Microsoft's online services has been revealed, with the PS4 finally getting a long-awaited high octane title.
PlayStation Plus owners will get a selection of free games as always, with the PS4 getting not two, but three free games, thanks to the arrival of Driveclub, which has been added to the lineup of free games in the PS Plus Edition. This features 10 cars, 11 tracks and all the game modes. Along with this comes Dust: An Elysian Tale, and Spelunky, rounding off a decent offering of free goodies.
The PS3's free titles will be graced by Rocksteady's debut Batmanouting, Arkham Asylum, and side-scrolling retro combat in Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles Of Mystara. The PS Vita gets Pix The Cat, and RPG, Rainbow Moon.
Xbox owners will also get the usual monthly free gaming content, with the Xbox One giving subscribers the new indie title, Chariot, for free. Xbox 360 owners will be able to download Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Darksiders II. Bad Company 2 will be available from October 1 to October 15, and Darksiders IIwill finish off the month, from October 16 to October 31.
