The upcoming PlayStation 4 update will pack in some major changes for owners of the console...
By the time you read this, you'll likely have a PS4 already sporting the 2.0 system update, but if you haven't, and you're stuck in work waiting to see what the new update has in store, you can see exactly what to expect in the video below.
Along with the introduction of new system themes and colours, and the USB music player, update 2.0 will introduce a a far more flexible and intuitive way to share your gaming exploits with others via a reworked streaming system that now lets you upload videos straight to YouTube, and the broadcasting and viewing interface has also been improved. Other elements of the interface are improved, such as the content and library sections, and new voice commands, and you can now pause and resume downloads if you need to, instead of simply cancelling them.
What the video doesn’t really mention, due to a previous dedicated video, is by far the best new feature, and that's the Share Play ability. This lets PS4 owners allow friends to view and even play their games, virtually handing over the controls, or inviting them into a co-op titles remotely. The best part, the other party doesn't even need to own the game. Very nice, indeed.
