In case you missed today's Nintendo Direct, we have all the news fit to print in one convenient place!
Today's Nintendo Direct was full of big announcements.
We got a release date for both The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D and New Nintendo 3DS XL as well as some news on Kirby's new adventure due out next month.
If you missed the show, you can watch the replay here and get informed about all the new release dates, as well.
Here are some other highlights:
First, you already new that there was a new Nintendo 3DS system coming out. Actually, it's been out in Japan for a couple of months, but now we have a U.S. date: Feb. 13. There are even a couple of bundles and limited edition versions coming out alongside the main release. There's a new Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate 3DS bundle as well as Majora's Mask bundle, which includes a GOLD New 3DS XL. Yeah, it's sold out already...Both of these arrive on Feb. 13, as well.

There's also a lot of good news for people who have upgraded to the Wii U, but still want to play hard-to-find Wii games such as the Metroid Prime Trilogy. You will now be able to download several Wii titles onto your Wii U. The games include Super Mario Galaxy 2 (out today!), Punch Out!!! (Jan. 22), and Metroid Prime Trilogy (Jan. 29). This is especially good news for people like myself who want to play Metroid Prime Trilogy, but don't want to spend $100+ on eBay...
"Now that we can reproduce Wii disc software on Wii U, we can make these titles available to download," Nintendo President Satoru Iwata said. "Some of the Wii games that were compatible with the Wii Classic Controller can be played using only the Wii U GamePad, too."
Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby's Adventure Wii, and Pandora's Tower are also scheduled to release in Wii U eShop this year.
Finally, Nintendo announced its first cross-buy title today. Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars, which arrives on March 5, will be available for both the Wii U and 3DS.
What does cross-buy mean? It means that if you buy the game on the Wii U, you'll also get a download code for the 3DS version, and vice versa. Nintendo will be experimenting with these kinds of titles in the upcoming months.
Player-created levels can be shared within the Miiverse, and you could even earn special bonus stars if other players enjoy the levels you have created. You'll need those stars to unlock new content in the game. Otherwise, the stars are awarded to you based on your performance in the game.
