NetherRealm has revealed the cool Brutalities you'll be able to perform on your opponents in Mortal Kombat X!
Viral VideoIn today's Mortal Kombat Kast, NetherRealm Studios revealed Brutalities, a new form of finishers in Mortal Kombat X that are actually even more gruesome than just "plain, old" Fatalities.
Interestingly enough, Brutalities aren't accomplished through complicated button combos. Instead, you need to complete certain conditions in a match to trigger one.
During the stream, the developers revealed that there are over 100 Brutalities in the game. Most of them end in some horrible form of dismemberment and blood shower. It's quite riveting.

For the last couple months, the return of Brutalities hasn’t been one of the better kept secrets. The Kombat Kast has hinted strongly at it in different ways and even a trailer of online mode quickly referenced it on screen without showing any details. Brutalities came from Mortal Kombat Trilogy for Nintendo 64 and PlayStation in what was probably the most one-dimensional and laziest “-ality” of the series. The character would do a rapid-fire combo to their opponent, ending with an uppercut, and the victim would just explode in a bloody mess of a dozen leg bones and ribcages.
That was then and this is now. We’re in a next-gen video game reality and we’re certainly not going to get anything so cookie-cutter.
