Mad Max gets release date

The new Mad Max game by Avalanche Studios has been given a release date. It'll arrive on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on September 1, according to Game Informer's exclusive reveal.

“What about Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3?” You may ask. Well, sadly this is no longer going to happen, as the last gen version of the game has been binned, making it a current gen-only release.

This cancellation has given Avalanche Studios more time to focus on the current gen release, adding more spit and polish. This will be a good thing for current gen owners, but if you're yet to buy a new console, you'll be understandably miffed.

The game will also have the regulation pre-order bonus, which here will be an exclusive car body called The Ripper. This comes with a V8 engine, custom off-road tyres, ram,special suspension, and exhaust. It should make your journey into the game's open world world a little easier, as Max tries to find his stolen Interceptor.
