A new trailer for Halo 5: Guardians shows new character Spartan Locke doing lots of jumping and shooting. Take a look...
NewsWe may have been getting in a lather about Star Wars: Battlefront over the past couple of days, but it's by no means the only big sci-fi shooter coming out this autumn - there's also that seldom-discussed indie title Halo 5: Guardians to consider.
The latest trailer for the game focuses on Spartan Locke, a new "elite manhunter" who fights for the UNSC, but whose allegiance is currently obscure. Is he a friend or foe of Master Chief? The answer to that question is likely to be kept back as a reveal in the game itself.
Allegiances aside, the trailer below gives us a look at the athletic Spartan Locke in action; his glowing armour and rocket-powered athleticism reminds us a bit of the sorely-underrated third-person shooter, Vanquish.
The trailer's designed to advertise the Spartan Armour set, which Gamestop is giving out to those who pre-order Halo 5 before its launch in October. We haven't yet heard whether the same pre-order bonus will be available from a UK store.
Halo 5: Guardians is out on the Oct. 27 for Xbox One.
