Mad Max: Brand new game trailer

Now we think about it, Avalanche  isn't a bad choice of studios when it comes to interpreting George Miller's gonzo action flick, Mad Max: Fury Road. Avalanche has, after all, made its name by making the hatstand Just Cause games, which regularly have you riding aircraft like surfboards.

With Mad Max, Avalanche has created an open world incarnation of Fury Road, complete with bald-headed War Boys, ramshackle cars and mile after mile of parched desert. Cut to the strains of AC/DC, the new trailer below shows off Mad Max's world of fire and blood. 

We'll have to wait and see how its mix of hand-to-hand combat and vehicular mayhem stacks up agains twhat, for us, is the film of the summer. At the very least, the property's in seasoned hands with Avalanche.

Mad Max is out on the 4th September for PC, Linux, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
