Here's a first, lengthy look at the gameplay in Lawbreakers, the forthcoming free-to-play FPS from Cliff Bleszinski...
TrailerAfter a bit of a hiatus, Unreal and Gears of War game designer Cliff Bleszinski's back with a new studio (that's Boss Key) and a brand new FPS - Lawbreakers.
Announced in late August, it's a free-to-play multiplayer shooter with an anti-gravity theme - players get around via a variety of grappling guns, jet-packs, and other conveyances depending on their class.
The video below is a compilation of various bits of gameplay footage from around the web, and while the edits are a bit jarring, it gives an idea of what Lawbreakers handles like. It all looks perfectly solid, though there's a bit less flying around than we'd expected from some of the pre-announcement descriptions. Maybe that's more of a feature in other maps.
The game is set years after a cataclysmic event known as The Shattering, which caused the destabilization of gravity on Earth. The story picks up after civilization has rebuilt itself and learned to cope with the new laws of physics born out of the catastrophe.
Lawbreakers is due for launch in 2016 for PC.
