The Warcraft Movie Cast
The film is set to portray the first meeting between humans and orcs in the world of Azeroth. The film’s main cast are set in two camps:
Travis Fimmel is Sir Anduin Lothar, leader of the Alliance and a charismatic knight who has made great sacrifices for the protection of the kingdom. Dominic Cooper is King Llane Wrynn, the ruler of Stormwind and a symbol of hope for his kingdom. Ben Foster is Magus Medivh, the Guardian of Tirisfal, a mysterious recluse who harnesses great magical power and Ben Schnetzer is the mage Khadgar, the apprentice of Medivh. Finally, Ruth Negga is Lady Taria, the Queen of Stormwind and the king’s most trusted ally.
Toby Kebbell is Durotan, the Chieftan of the Frostwolf clan, stuck in conflict with the vengeful shadow council. Rob Kazinsky is Orgrim Doomhammer the right hand man of the fearsome Warchief Blackhand, played by Clancy Brown. Daniel Wu will be playing Gul’dan, the leader of the Shadow Council, pulling the strings for the Orcish horde.
Paula Patton also stars as half human, half orc, Garona Halforcen.
The Warcraft Movie Synopsis
The events of the Warcraft film will take place between the Orcs & Humans and Tides of Darkness timelines and centers on the battle between the Alliance and the Horde.

Unfortunately, we'll have to wait until November to see that Warcrafttrailer. To help get us through, though, Legendary released two new character posters at SDCC 2015, which introducing two of the main characters of the film. Meet Lothar and Durotan (in that order):


The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another. As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction. From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home.
The Warcraft Movie Director
Warcraft will be directed by Duncan Jones, innovative sci-fi director of films such as Moon and Source Codeand son of David Bowie. Jones has described the film as Game of Thrones meets Avatar, so expect a highly detailed, extravagant epic. Jones will be using a mixture of live action and CGI created characters, teaming with Industrial Light and Magic.
