Update 2 - 09.02.16:
Batman: Arkham VR is one of the experiences that will launch with the PlayStation VR in October. Made by veteran Batman developer Rocksteady, the game allows players to wear the cowl and do a bit of detective work, using new gadgets like the forensic scanner.
A new behind-the-scenes trailer shows a bit of how the game works:
Acting lead VR designer Bill Green says suiting up is the “ultimate Batman experience we’ve been able to create. Then the mirror comes in and you see to your reflection, and it confirms to your face, you are Batman. It’s kind of mind-blowing, especially the first time.”
We played through a demo at this year's E3 and can honestly say that Batman: Arkham VR is one of the most exciting VR experiences we've had so far. It's definitely a game worth getting if you plan to buy a PS VR next month.

Original Story - 06.14.16:
We've been thinking for a while that Batman's games - and especially movies - need to focus more on the World's Greatest Detective angle of the Dark Knight as well as his bone-cracking abilities. And now, thanks to Rocksteady, we have our wish.
Batman: Arkham VR will allow players to "Experience Gotham City through the eyes of the World's Greatest Detective in an all new Arkham mystery," according to Rocksteady's blurb. The trailer below doesn't give too much away, but the timing of its release - 13th October - suggests it'll be a launch title for Sony's forthcoming VR tech.
According to designer Bill Green, writing on PlayStation's official blog, Arkham VRwill be "a murder mystery in the style of the classic Batmancomic books, but with a strong dose of the dark psychology that the Arkhamgames are well known for."
Here's hoping it's as full of mind-bending mysteries to solve as the Caped Crusader game released by Ocean back in the 1980s. We'll bring you more on Rocksteady's VR Batman opus as we get it.
