If Don't Breathe were turned into a video game, it might look like this.

If you watched Don't Breathe and thought to yourself "Boy, I really wish there was a game that allowed me to deal with the consequences of breaking into my crazy neighbor's house," then you'll want to run-click (not walk-click) on the trailer for Hello Neighboryou see below:
Hello Neighbor comes to us from developer Dynamic Pixels, who have previously worked on a series of mobile titles and Facebook games. This title is decidedly different from their prior cartoon character-filled efforts as it sees you assume the role of an intruder that must break into the home of their neighbor in order to find what they are hiding in the basement. Sounds easy, right? Just arrange a couple of distractions, hide in the shadows, and you're all set.
Well, that's where things get interesting. See, your neighbor supposedly has the ability to learn from your previous actions which means that you will need to vary up your tactics if you're going to survive. For instance, you might have found a way to creep through the bedroom window, but trying to do so again will just end with you caught in a bear trap. You might think you're pretty clever after you take a tomato and throw it against the side wall in order to sneak through the front door, but next time, the neighbor will be waiting right on the front steps for you.
As your neighbor is always on high-alert, you will have to constantly come up with new strategies as well as create makeshift barricades and utilize traps if you are going to survive. The promise of dynamic A.I. is one that we've heard before, but developer Dynamic Pixels seems to be on the path to achieving it as they are allowing the dynamic A.I. to function in a relatively small space. The developer claims they are trying to squeeze about 10 hours of playtime out of the concept, but there will be replay value in the form of multiple attempts.
Hello Neighbor is set to release in 2017, but you can sign-up for a playable alpha build here.
