In the tune of "Broken Wings:" Take....our money, please.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City will always hold a special place in the hearts of those that played it. The game's '80s setting, unforgettable soundtrack, and vast improvements over GTA III have led some to dub it the greatest Grand Theft Auto ever made.
None of that really makes it easier to stomach how poorly the game's graphics have aged.
Since each passing year makes it increasingly unlikely that we'll receive an official GTA: Vice City HD remaster, everyone who has wondered what a visually remastered Vice City might look like will just have to settle for this fan-made HD remaster of the Vice City intro sequence.
Made by YouTuber Majami Hiroz, whose channel specializes in visually remastering games into different generations, this Vice City intro remaster serves as a glorious tease to a future that may never come.
Even still, you have to be impressed with the Hiroz's work. The graphics in this video certainly update the original Vice City, but they also don't mute the game's original color palette like some modern major graphics engines tend to do. The creator has also added some nice flourishes of their own including a tube TV filter, some animated pop-up boxes reminiscent of the ones that Max Payne 3 used, and instrumental versions of some of the game's licenced tunes made by Laura Branigan ("Self Control"), and Mr. Mister ("Broken Wings").
Great job everyone. Now all you need to do is remaster the rest of this 40+ hour game, implement some new mechanics, secure all the proper licenses, and we've got that HD remaster of Vice City the gaming world deserves.
