As if you didn't have enough games to play...

Bioware's celebration of all things Mass Effect this N7 Day (November 7th...get it?) rolls on with the studio's announcement that Mass Effect 2 and 3 are now compatible with the Xbox One's backward compatibility program.
Previously, Xbox One owners that wanted to experience some classic Mass Effect action via the system's backward compatibility feature were limited to the original installment. Now, however, the full trilogy is available and just calling out to you to put aside your obligations and explore its rich universe of content once more.
As Polygon points out, the addition of these games to the system's backward compatibility program is significant not just because they so happen to be all-time classics, but because the program itself initially struggled to support multi-disc titles. This latest update, combined with the previously released compatibility update for the multi-disc version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, does seem to confirm that Microsoft seems to have solved that particular issue as Larry Hyrb noted earlier this year.
Of course, this update is also meaningful due to the fact that we don't seem to be any closer to an official Mass Effect trilogy remaster. EA has indicated in the past that they are optimistic about the possibility of such a release happening, but Peter Moore had also previously stated that both EA and Bioware would rather that the company focus on other projects, specifically Mass Effect: Andromeda, before they even thought about devoting resources to a remaster.
Considering how uncertain the prospect of that release remains, Xbox One owners would do well to take advantage of this welcome update that is available right now.
