The first official trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 has arrived. With it comes our first look at the stunningly serene world the sequel will offer as well as a brief tease of the action we can expect:
The trailer doesn't show much in terms of gameplay. In fact, we can't quite decipher much from the video except that the game will boast a beautiful setting. It looks like we get a glimpse of the protagonist toward the end of the trailer, though. In fact, early promotional material for the game suggests that the spotlight will be on seven characters in the sequel. Could Red Dead Redemption 2 pay tribute to The Magnificent Seven in some way?

The studio said of the game in the press release that Red Dead Redemption 2 is "an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland. The game's vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience."
"With Red Dead Redemption 2, the team is working hard to push forward our vision for interactive entertainment in a truly living world," said Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games. "We hope to deliver players an epic experience that builds upon everything we've learned making games."
