The foreboding action-RPG from the Dead Island team will be coming to current gen systems in 2015.
A ton of new features have been announced for Hellraidthis week, an action-RPG that comes to us from developer Techland of Dead Island fame. Originally revealed to the world last year, Techland has been busy transitioning Hellraid over to their latest Chrome Engine 6, which is also being used to run the studio’s other upcoming current gen game, Dying Light.
The actual combat in the game has also been refined, allowing for one- and two-handed melee weapons, diverse magic abilities, weapon crafting, and interactive, destructible environments. And of course, like any good RPG, you’ll also have all the character customization and skill trees that you can shake a sword at.
Alongside these new announcements, Techland has unleashed a brand new gameplay trailer of Hellraidin action, and the game kind of looks like Dead Island set in the world of Dark Souls. If that doesn’t get you excited about playing this one, then I don’t know what will!
Now if you REALLY can’t wait to get your hands on the crypt-crawling action, Hellraidwill be coming to Steam’s Early Access for PC this autumn, while the game’s full-fledged release won’t be until 2015 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
