The closed beta of EA's latest Battlefield is taking sign ups, so get involved if you're a fan...
EA's latest entry in the Battlefieldseries, Hardline, is moving away from the usual all-out military action we've become accustomed to seeing from the name, and instead it's moving to the streets with a cops sersus criminals set up.
Don't think this means the action of the title is being scaled back. As you can see from the multiplayer trailer below, the action is still as full-on as always, complete with police chases, destructible environments, and collapsing structures. All in a day's work for Call of Duty's most dangerous opponent.
If you're a Battlefieldfan, and simply can't wait to get your hands on the multiplayer game, you'll be happy to know that closed beta sign ups are now being accepted for PC and PS4. All you need is an Origin account, and to visit the closed beta sign up page here. Once you've signed up, you'll be sent an email if your application has been successful with instructions on how to get into the beta phase.
If you've got an Xbox 360, Xbox One, or PlayStation 3, the beta is not available on these platforms, however, an open beta will be launched in the Autumn for all platforms, including these. What's more, if you follow the instructions on the website, you'll unlock a set of rewards, including weapons skins, sights, a unique dog tag and additional Hardline content. So, even if you can't play the closed beta, it's still worth registering if you like your digital extras and plan to get the game when it releases.
Battlefield: Hardline will be available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC, and arrives on October 21 in the US, and October 24 in Europe.
