NetherRealm Studios reveals three electrifying character variations for the classic MK fighter.
In the latest trailer for Mortal Kombat X, Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios give us a new look at the classic character of Raiden as he will appear in the upcoming game. As narrated by Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon, the Raiden trailer shows off the character’s powerful new moves in a face-off against Kotal Kahn. The video also outlines the three different fighting variations for Raiden that we’ll be able to choose from.
The first variation is Thunder God Raiden, which enhances the fighter’s overall thunder attacks. The Displacer Raiden variation grants additional teleportation moves, while the Storm Lord variation lets players create devastating lightning traps right on the battle field. I think it is safe to say that Raiden has never looked so good electrifying his opponents’ spines, and will surely be a force to be reckoned with in the anticipated game.
Mortal Kombat X is currently slated for a 2015 release on PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
