NewsWhile the Nintendo 3DS has the next Fire Emblemgame coming in 2016, Wii U owners will be getting a JRPG of their own.
Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem is exactly as it sounds - a mash-up of Atlus and Intelligent Systems' hugely popular RPG series.
In development since 2013, little has been heard from the project for quite some time, though all that changed with last night's Nintendo Direct. You can check out what Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem's gameplay looks like below - from what we've seen, it looks like some of the characters from Fire Emblemhave invaded a typical weekend in Akihabara.
There's no firm date for the game's North American or European release yet, but the fact that it's been so heavily showcased in Nintendo's broadcast at least ensures that it really is being ported to western systems. Otherwise, it would be an incredibly cruel tease.
