A game based on the hit manga and anime Attack On Titan is coming to the Nintendo 3DS. Here's the new trailer...
NewsSet in a distant future where a remnant of humans are besieged by huge, flesh-eating naked giants, Attack on Titan's already a phenomenally successful anime and manga series in Japan. With a range of merchandise available and a live-action film on the way in that country, Attack on Titan's popularity has long since started filtering out in the west, too.
As part of Nintendo's regular Direct broadcast last night, it was announced that the 3DS title Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains is coming out in Europe and North America.
Taking on the role of an agile member of the elite Scout Regiment, it's your job to help defend the city from the angry giants smashing through its walls. Reviews in Japan were positive, and the 3DS could be the perfect venue for a game about tiny humans fighting nude colossi. You can take a look at the teaser trailer below.
Scheduled for release in May, Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains will be a download-only title. While we'd have preferred a physical release, it's certainly better to have it as a digital release than not at all.
In the meantime, you can watch the first two episodes of the Attack on Titan anime on Nintendo's eShop for free until the June 30. The series is also available to watch on Netflix. If you haven't seen it already, it's well worth checking out.
